ABOUT US

House of Tuhina is where India’s design heritage meets contemporary elegance.

Founded by NID alumna Tuhina Goyal, the label works closely with women artisans to craft pieces that are authentic, enduring and untouched by fleeting trends.

Every creation is a dialogue between heritage and modernity - rooted in culture, yet resonating with a global audience.

The seed of House of Tuhina was planted during Tuhina’s early years as a design student in Gujarat. During her visit to Kutch, she encountered the Rabari tribe for the first time. Apart from their rich culture and master for craft, what drew her attention were their Trajva tattoos - hand poked, intricate and deeply personal.

These tattoos weren’t just decoration; they were declarations of identity pride and resilience. As the Rabari women say: “The tattoos are ornaments no one can take away from us - ornaments we carry to our graves.

Moved by this raw untapped beauty, Tuhina began to reimagine heritage for the modern world. The jewelry transforms the soul of Trajva into wearable art - each knot representing the dots of Rabari tattoos.

OUR ARTISANS

"You Grow When Your People Grow"

At heart, House of Tuhina is a collective of skilled women artisans. What began in the founder’s home as a small, hands-on practice has grown into a community of over 100 women, led by core members who have been part of the journey since the beginning.

These artisans work in clusters, each knotting jewelry pieces by hand from start to finish. The process is meticulous, intricate and deeply personal, with every thread and bead carrying the work of its maker. Through this work, the women gain not only a sustainable livelihood, but also a sense of dignity, purpose and belongings.

The brand is more than a jewelry label. It is a network of women bound by skill, creativity and shared stories. Its purpose is to make jewelry that holds memory, empowers its makers and speaks quietly but powerfully to those who wear it.
